What is Cakes Around and how does it work?
Our mission is to provide an easy-to-use platform for ordering cakes from the best bakers in your community. We aim to help you by working with hundreds of bakers who are all as passionate about cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats as we are - all in a hassle-free easy way !!
Here’s how it works: simply select your location on the homepage, and product you are looking for. We'll then show you all the great cakes, cupcakes or other treats based on your search. You can then filter results based on type of event, price, bakers, etc. Choose the item that you fancy (the reviews of that item should help), put together your order and that's it. And guess what, if you need a bespoke item prepared, we can help for that too. You simply fill in the short form and we will ask relevant bakers in your area who could satisfy the order. Some of the bakers will then contact you to discuss more and agree your truly personalised item just as you wished for. Price agreed and payment done - that’s it.
How much does it cost?
Some things in life are still FREE, like our service which comes at no extra cost for our customers. You pay the baker the same amount as you normally would. Sometimes even lesser if you qualify for one of our amazing discounts.
Joining with a Facebook or Google+ account?
You can also create an account with your Facebook or Google+ login. To do this please select login using “Facebook” or “Google” on the login screen. You will be prompted to log into your Facebook or Google account and will be redirected back to cakesaround.com.
How do I change my address or contact details?
To change your address, please log in to your member account, then click on the “Account” tab at the top right-hand side of your screen. Next, click on “Address” under “Profile” from where the address can be viewed, edited, deleted or a new one added.
Why aren't you servicing my area yet?
We are rapidly expanding throughout the country and will hopefully be working with bakers near you soon!!
How do I find bakers that deliver?
Select your location, then select either Cakes, Cupcakes or Other Sweet Treats. This will list all bakers and their relevant products. You can then filter them further using the “Delivery/Pickup” section on the left-hand side by ticking the “Delivery” option.
How do I find a particular type of cake or refine my search results?
Select your location, then select either Cakes, Cupcakes or Other Sweet Treats. This will list all bakers and their relevant products. You can then filter them further using filters like Types of cakes, Bakers, Price Range, Servings, Free From, “Delivery/Pickup” and Date Required For. You can also use the search box contained in most of the pages.
How do I cancel my account?
Should you wish to permanently cancel your cakesaround.com account, you can do so by emailing us at support@cakesaround.com.

Do you charge the same prices as the baker does normally on their website or in-store?
Yes, we request our bakers to always use the same pricing for their products and delivery as they do for their in-house menu, although there may be exceptions. Sometimes, you might even find that it is cheaper to buy from us rather than go direct to bakers.
Can I order from more than one baker at a time?
Yes, definitely. You can order more than one type of product too - say cakes, cupcakes and traybakes from different or same vendors all in one order. You might have to pay separate delivery charges, if applicable.
Can I submit an order for the same day?
Mostly no. Due to the nature of the products, most of them can only be ordered for the next day or as per the minimum notice set for the individual product by the baker.
My promo code was not accepted?
If your code was not accepted at checkout you should check that you qualify for all of the conditions of the particular voucher code. If you have met all the conditions and the code is still not accepted, please ensure you are using the most up-to-date version of the app or browsers.If the problem persists please contact us on support@cakesaround.com.
What if I have allergies?
We have advised bakers to update the item details page with allergy information, so that you are made aware of any ingredients that may be of concern.
How is my order sent to the Baker?
cakesaround.com passes the order to your Baker using a dedicated portal and a notification to their registered e-mail.
How long does it take for my order to reach the baker?
When you place an order with us, we send the the order to the baker immediately. We have requested Bakers to get in touch with us if they have issues satisfying the order, typically within 24 hours from placing the order. If you need an urgent response, then please feel free to ring the Baker to ensure there are no issues with the order.
What happens to my payment if the baker declines my order?
If a baker cannot fulfill your order, you will receive an email from us entitled “Cakes Around Order Declined”. In this case, any payment is refunded. Depending upon your bank, refunds can take up to three business days to appear on your account.
Can I change or cancel my order after it has been submitted?
You won’t be able to edit it, however if you need to cancel an order please go to “My Orders”. It can be cancelled provided it is within the cancellation period requested by the Baker.
How do I contact a Baker about my order?
Just because you have ordered through cakesaround.com doesn't mean you're not able to contact the baker directly with any questions or concerns should you need to do so.
What if I forgot to add something to my order?
Contact us at support@cakesaround.com and we’ll do our best to make sure you get all the items you want added to your order.
How do I resolve a problem or complaint with an order?
If there are any issues with the item or service you have received, it's usually best to contact the Baker in the first instance. If you are unable to resolve the issue with the Baker, don't hesitate to contact us and we're more than happy to do whatever we can to make sure everything with your order runs smoothly.
Who delivers my order, if delivery is opted for?
All bakers are responsible for their own deliveries, so your items will be delivered by the staff of the bakery you have ordered from. If you have a problem with your delivery you can call the baker. If they are unable to help, you are welcome to get in touch with us who can liaise with the baker on your behalf.
Can I collect (pickup) my order from the store?
Yes, you can with most bakers if you have chosen that in checkout.
How can I provide feedback?
Have a suggestion, comment or general feedback? Please send an email to support@cakesaround.com to let us know how we're doing!
What reviews are available?
We provide reviews for the Baker and their individual items, which is one of a kind in this industry. This will help the cakes around community to benefit from the shared experiences of its members.
All ratings are then combined to produce an average rating for an item. These are displayed in the search results once a minimum number of ratings have been received.
How do I post my review to the website?
A link will be sent to your email address once the order has been completed. You can then click that link and go to the survey page to complete it.
How do I remove feedback that I have left?
To remove feedback, please contact us. A member of our team will remove your review as requested and reply to your message to confirm this has been done as quickly as possible.
Will everyone know who left this rating?
Data Protection is key for us too - when we display your feedback, only a name will be shown. No further personal information will be published on the website or be shared with the Bakers.
How does it work?
It’s really simple and we are one of the first in this industry to incorporate this method of servicing. It saves you valuable time and effort involved in having to speak to different bakers about the same order.
